Ciencia y Deporte, a publication of the Faculty of Physical Culture of the University of Camagüey "Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz", Cuba, is an online journal with ISSN 2223-1773. This open-access digital journal adheres to a rigorous peer-review process. Its essential mission is to promote, disseminate, and advance scientific knowledge in the areas of physical culture and sports. The journal has been published continuously every six months since 2016, and every four months since 2021.

Its main mission is to stimulate, disseminate, and develop original scientific knowledge in the sciences of physical culture and sports by publishing original articles based on the research of professors, coaches, and researchers who make significant and innovative contributions. It is hoped that those who access this publication will find scientific solidity and accessible information through user-friendly language that facilitates exchange between the scientific community in Cuba and around the world. The journal is published quarterly, three times a year (January, May, and September).

Its vision is to achieve visibility and informative coverage in the dissemination of scientific results, enabling its position as a leading journal in the fields of applied sciences, physical education, sports, recreation, and physical culture in general.

This journal is published in Spanish, and starting in 2022, all articles will be published in Spanish and English, with the metadata including Portuguese.
