Published by the Ministry of Higher Education, co-sponsored by the Cuban Society of Chemistry and edited by the Scientific and Technical Information Center of the University of Oriente in Santiago de Cuba. Since its founding in 1985, the journal has three main objectives: to promote scientific exchange and dissemination of activities related to chemistry specialists in the country and abroad. Actually it is an open access journal (http://revistas.uo.edu.cu/index.php/cq) publishing every four months.
