Luz magazine is a member of the editorial group conciencia Ediciones, sponsored by the University of Holguin, which belongs to the Ministry of Higher Education. Founded in 2002, it was legalized and licenced in 2004 by a registration certificate issued by the National Registry of Serial Pubications (RNPS), of the Cuban Book Institute. The ISSN 1814-151X was subsequently granted.

Luz is an academic and scientific online magazine, designed mainly for the academic community of  Holguin and Cuba, as well as of another regions of the continent where they're  giving advisory and carry out graduates, masteries and doctorates.

It publishes original and unpublished scientific articles, which are the results of researches referring to the Sciences of Education in all its branches.
