Basic Information

Population News is published by the Center for Demographic Studies at the University of Havana. It is published in print and online, on a biannual basis.
The first issue was released in 2005, only electronic version and the printed edition since 2010 with the aim of communicating research findings related to the demographic developments in Cuba, Latin America and other regions of the world is published. It aims to inform the scientific community and all stakeholders the main results of the latest research related to the field of demography and population studies.

Is published by the CEDEM Editorial.

The articles received will be submitted for evaluation by the referees committee of the magazine, composed of national and international experts. The opinion is in pairs of double-blind, always retaining the anonymity of both the author and the Decider. The article's publication, the publication or non-publication changes the text dictates.
If the process of opinion concludes in approval for publication, the article is submitted to a proofreading process and will be published according to the editorial criteria described in this manual.
Prior to publication, the author must sign a letter of transfer of rights, so that the DESC preserve the rights on paper.
