The use of teaching materials is a highly topical subject worldwide, not only due to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the realm of education, but also to the lack of a comprehensive, contextualized, and developmental approach, which is typical of this realm. This can be specially seen in the way teachers effectively use the diverse existing materials. The progressive and integrated system for teaching materials, designed by the Educational Technology Department belonging to the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education, as well as the devising of the theoretical and methodological model to assimilate ICTs, and web-based information system for blended learning came together in a methodological strategy as an innovative way of using ICTs in teaching-learning process. This work is a contribution to university didactics, in the form of attaching a greater importance to the diverse use of teaching materials.
