El Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro fomentó una actitud proactiva ante los grandes objetivos a lograr por el pueblo cubano. Con su desvelo permanente por el presente y futuro del país y el mundo condujo la transformación necesaria para alcanzar las metas propuestas a partir del papel educativo de la historia. Con su extraordinaria visión estratégica supo avizorar que sin educación no hay Revolución posible, pues solo a partir del desarrollo humano multifacético es posible que una sociedad lleve adelante un proyecto revolucionario. Este artículo aborda las ideas conceptuales fundamentales que configuran el pensamiento prospectivo estratégico del Comandante en Jefe en torno a la educación en momentos históricos trascendentales, así como las acciones trazadas para materializarlas.

Commander in Chief Fidel Castro encouraged a proactive attitude towards the great objectives to be achieved by the Cuban people. With his constant concern for the present and future of the country and the world, he led the transformation necessary to achieve the goals proposed on the basis of the educational role of history. With his extraordinary strategic vision, he knew that without education no revolution is possible, since only on the basis of multifaceted human development is it possible for a society to carry out a revolutionary project. This article addresses the fundamental conceptual ideas that shape the Commander-in-Chief's strategic prospective thinking on education in transcendental historical moments, as well as the actions drawn up to materialize them.
