^les^aCon el objetivo de estudiar el comportamiento de la navegación en el sitio web de Infomed se estableció el nivel de acceso y de visitas que recibe el sitio, se identificaron las páginas más visitadas y dónde se interrumpe la navegación, además se realizó una aproximación a la forma en que navegan los visitantes y se facilitan una serie de datos necesarios para redefinir el sitio como portal de la salud y los trabajos de arquitectura. Se empleó el software conocido como Webalizer para recopilar las estadísticas de acceso al sitio. Se encontró una tendencia hacia el incremento, tanto en el número de accesos como en el número de visitas al sitio, así como el acceso proveniente de otros países durante el período que va desde el mes de junio del 2000 a mayo del 2001. En cuanto al análisis de los clientes que acceden y visitan al sitio se conoció que casi un 25% de las visitas provienen de clientes de la red de salud. Se determinaron cuatro enlaces disponibles en la página principal del sitio a los que no se acceden, Ayuda, Acerca de Infomed, Vigilancia en Salud y Obras de Referencia. Se realizan recomendaciones para perfeccionar el acceso a los recursos de información existentes en el sitio, los mecanismos de navegación y el control estadístico del sitio, así como para crear mecanismos de diseminación de los contenidos del sitio y procesar las estadísticas de acceso que se encuentran en el proxy.^len^aIn order to study the behavior of navigation in Infomed Web site, it was established the level of access and of visits received at the site. The most visited pages, as well as the point where the navigation is interrupted were identified. Besides, the way in which the visitors navigate was approached and a series of data necessary to redefine the site as a health portal and to make easy the works of architecture was provided. The software known as Webalizer was used to collect the statitstics of access to the site. It was found a trend towards the increase both, in the number of access and in the number of visits to the site, as well as in the access from other countries between June, 2000, to May, 2001. In relation to the analysis of the users having access to and visiting the site, it was known that almost 25 % of the visits come from costumers of the health network, 4 available links with no access were determined in the main page of the site: Help, About Infomed, Health Surveillance and Reference Works. Recommendations were made to improve the access to the information resources existing in the site, the navigation mechanisms and the statistical control of the site, as well as to create mechanisms of dissemination of the contents of the site and to process the statistics of the access that are in the proxy.
