La sociedad en casi dos décadas del siglo XXI, con la influencia acelerada de los avances científicos tecnológicos, los retos de la gestión del conocimiento y de la información, exige un ser humano que logre la convivencia en plena armonía con el entorno ambiental. Es por ello que se requieren instrumentos que se dirigían a la educación ambiental de los estudiantes universitarios. En su desarrollo se utilizaron los siguientes métodos: del nivel teórico el Inductivo- Deductivo, Analítico-Sintético, dentro de los empíricos se encuentran la encuesta, la observación y el pre-experimento, además, se emplearon los estadísticos matemáticos. Se expone como objetivo elaborar una estrategia metodológica para la educación ambiental en estudiantes universitarios, en correspondencia con las potencialidades de la universidad. Mediante el criterio de experto se logró comprobar la factibilidad teórica de la estrategia metodológica presentada.

Society in almost two decades of the 21st century, with the accelerated influence of technological scientific advances, the challenges of knowledge and information management, demands a human being that achieves coexistence in full harmony with the environmental surroundings. That is why instruments are required that are directed to the environmental education of university students. In its development the following methods were used: from the theoretical level the Inductive-Deductive, Analytical-Synthetic, within the empirical ones are the survey, the observation and the pre-experiment, in addition, mathematical statistics were used. The objective is to elaborate a methodological strategy for environmental education in university students, in correspondence with the potentialities of the university. The theoretical feasibility of the methodological strategy presented was verified by means of the expert's criterion.
