Abstract

A descriptive and cross-sectional study was performed with the purpose of determining the frequency of Human Papiloma Virus (HPV) in Cespedes Municipality within the period from January 1997 to December 1998. It was found that the ages of higher frequency were those of 25-29 years and 40-44 years, the 80 % had their first sexual intercourse before 20's and 64 % had their first pregnancy before 20's. Leucorrhea was the clinical symptom of higher frequency, half of women referred they were asymptomatic.
