YERA LOYOLA, Lourdes E; MACHADO GARCIA, Jorge Luis and DE LEON ORTIZ, Manuel Arturo. Hemodynamic diagnosis of interventricular septum rupture: Case reports. AMC [online]. 2006, vol.10, n.3, pp. 119-124. ISSN 1025-0255.
A patient of 55 years old was presented. He suffered an acute myocardial infarction of inferior face with extension to right ventricle Killip-Kimbal IV with an interventricular communication and a great hemodinamic impairment to which a Swan-Ganz catheter was placed. It allowed not only the corroboration of diagnosis but also it was useful for the adequate management o fluids and pressure amines which made possible patient stabilization for his posterior surgical restoration.
