Abstract
ALVAREZ LOPEZ, Alejandro; GARCIA LORENZO, Yenima and MONTANCHEZ SALAMANCA, Daniel R. Galeazzi´s luxofractura: a case report. AMC [online]. 2012, vol.16, n.6, pp. 1752-1759. ISSN 1025-0255.
Introduction: Galeazzi´s luxofractura is a little frequent disease of traumatic type characterized by diaphysial fracture of the radius and distal radioulnar articulation disjunction. Clinical case: a 41 years old, white, male patient was admitted in the service of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University Hospital Manuel Ascunce Domenech of Camaguey by a car accident with diagnosis of Galeazzi´s luxofractura. Two days after admission he was surgically intervened, who was placed an AO plate of dynamic compression with five perforations for radius fracture and Kirschner´s wire to stabilize the distal radioulnar articulation. Conclusions: the presence of Galeazzi´s luxofractura is rare, especially in those patients who require fixation of distal radioulnar articulation, once radius fixation was performed.
