Abstract

REYNALDO ARGUELLES, Luis Alberto  and  REYNALDO ARGUELLES, Clara Luz. Cost of Respiratory Diseases Aggravated by Environmental Pollution. Rev retos [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.1, pp. 82-95. ISSN 2306-9155.

Research was done on mining, the healthcare economy, and sustainable development, in order to assess the cost of diseases aggravated by nickel mining, using an economic and financial tool. This study is an alternative to foster social sustainability in the mining community of the municipality of Moa, province of Holguin, Cuba. The application of seven steps to achieve a qualitative and quantitative expression of sustainable development-healthcare economy based on the determination of costs per patient/pathology, is recommended for mining.
