Abstract

BARBACCI, Norma. Socio-cultural effects of tourism in historic cities: the cases of Venice, Cusco and Mexico City. ARCIC [online]. 2018, vol.7, n.16, pp. 24-48. ISSN 2411-9970.

This paper addresses, through case studies, the relationship tourism-heritage, from a humanistic point of view, as an interconnected process with economic, demographic, urban and social implications. It focuses its reflection on the changes that heritage centers generally suffer, when they become tourist centers, under the typology of cultural tourism, in connection with public policies and cultural and ideological practices.
