Resumen
NAVARRO, Daniel et al. Hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV coinfection in a blood bank in Corrientes . Rev cubana med [online]. 2008, vol.47, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-302X.
41 503 cards of donors or potential donors were examined to know the prevalence of some parenteral transmission agents in the Central Blood Bank of Corrientes. It was found that the prevalence of hepatitis B was 0.38 %; hepatitis C, 0.41 %; and HIV, 0.03 %. It was proved that the figures obtained were higher than the reported in the National Epidemiological Bulletin, which may result from the non-detection of the affected asymptomatic subjects or from an incomplete notification.
