HERNANDEZ CABRERA, Jesús et al. Behaviour of reactive serology in pregnant women during 1997. Rev Cubana Obstet Ginecol [online]. 2000, vol.26, n.1, pp. 22-27. ISSN 1561-3062.
The results of the study conducted at the Gynecoobstetric Teaching Hospital of Matanzas together with the Dermatology Department of the Center during l997 are presented. Every expectant with positive serology was diagnosed, treated and followed-up. Primary data on the variables of interest were registered and processed later in an IBM computer at the University of Matanzas by the MICROSTAT system, the % method, the first parametric test of X2 and the test of proportions and arithmetic means. Of a total of 2 580 deliveries, 80 had a reactive serology, accounting for 2.28 %, 32 suffered from syphilis, for 0.89 % and 48 coresponded to other causes, for 1.3 % of the casuistics. Both groups were compared to discuss the variables of interest that were selected.
