Resumen

The present article analyzes the activity of great coaches and managers of great sport teams in the world, as leaders and managers. George Steinbrenner, Pep Guardiola, Vicente del Bosque, Pedro Chávez, Eugenio George, Alcides Sagarra, José Miguel Pineda, Rey Vicente Anglada, Phil Jackson, Ronaldo Veitía, and Billy Beane have been chosen by the author to show interesting aspects of management and leadership. The global marketing, the strategic thinking, the trust and reliance on persons, the use of enthusiasm, the creation of identity and the system managing, are some of elements analyzed in this work. The author emphasizes the possible application of examples of these remarkable persons in other sectors of society, like industry, agriculture, etc.
