It is presented an analysis of the importance and necessity of the evaluation by competitions, from the Salvadoran context in the University of El Salvador. From their origin, evolution and application necessity. The essential objective of the study resides in meditating on the application in the theory and in the practice that the professors carry out to the moment of the evaluation of the learning, the techniques and the instruments used to verify them.
