Higher medical education prepares students for becoming broad-profile physicians so he correct assimilation of knowledge and the development of intellectual and practical skills is necessary. This research paper presents a strategy for the development of intellectual skills in Biochemistry I subject because the development of such skills makes the students play an active role in the teaching-learning process, which will positively affects their intellectual development and help their professional skills. The effectiveness of the creation and development of these skills depends on a strategy where steps to follow to turn action into skill will be structured and the process will be carried out in a systematic, continuous and conscious way.
