BERNAL GONZALEZ, Mario; CABRERA VILTRES, Nelson; REMON DAVILA, Xiomara de J. y ALVAREZ PLACERES, Leopoldo. Arthroscopic treatment of the recidivant shoulder luxation by Boytchev’s technique. Rev Cubana Ortop Traumatol [online]. 2000, vol.14, n.1-2, pp. 36-40. ISSN 1561-3100.
A total of 56 patients with recidivant anterior luxation of the shoulder that were operated on by Boytchev technique from January, 1990, to December, 1997, were studied. The behavior of some variables such as age, sex, etiology, number of luxations, time of recovery and their influence on the results was analyzed. By analyzing and studying these data it was possible to prove that Boytchev’s technique as a treatment was satisfactory in 91 % of the cases, with an adequate indication of the technique and a right application of the surgical procedures and an evolutive control of the patients at the physician’s office.
