In the case of peppers, the mite Poliphagotarsonemus latus was the most important pest, followed by insect and Meloidogyne spp. Eight seven percent of the productive farms showed technological indiscipline which, together with the difficulties of Meloidogyne management, could be inside on the complex situation this pest represents for the protected system at national level. One hundred percent of the producers under surveyed considered that the not observation of discipline and the intensive cropping without rotation were the main causes which could be related with the nematological situation in this system for vegetable production.
