Resumen
RONNIE-GAKEGNE, Edwin y MARTINEZ-COCA, Benedicto. Antibiosis and effect of pH-temperature on the antagonism of Trichoderma asperellum strains against Alternaria solani. Rev. Protección Veg. [online]. 2018, vol.33, n.2 ISSN 2224-4697.
The objective of the work was to determine the effect of the metabolic activity of four strains of Trichoderma asperellum Samuels, Lieckfeldt & Nirenberg as well as their effect on the pH-temperature interaction on the growth of Alternaria solani Sorauer from potato. The results of the treatments were compared by a factorial analysis of variance and the Tukey test. The strains of T. asperellum showed a high inhibitory effect on the growth of the pathogen A. solani through the emission of volatile and non-volatile metabolites, standing out the strain Ta. 85 for presenting the best results in all the tests performed. There were significant differences among the three factors in study, indicating an interaction between temperature, pH and the strain. The highest growth inhibitory effect of A. solani was observed at pH 5.2 and 35°C. In the hyphal interactions, the granulation, lysis and vacuolization of the cellular cytoplasmic content in the mycelium of the pathogens predominated. These results suggest that this strain could be promising for the biological control of this pathogen in potato.
