A clinical essay, late phase II, double blind, ramdomized at the Pediatric Specialisties Polyclinic of Camagüey was performed from May to October 1997. The study universe comprised a total of 60 children with previous diagnosis of functional enuresis. Two groups were formed one sudy and the other one control, with 30 patients each of them with the aim of value the effectiveness of treatment with digitopuncture in relation with the conventional method. Digitopuncture treatment was applied to the study group and the conventional one to the control group. Primary data were collected through a survey and the evolutive control was used in both groups. Functional enuresis was most frequent at ages of 5 to years and, the beginning of the therapeutic repply, as well as the control was achieved earlier with digitopressure which proved to be an easy method for application and lacking of adverse effects.
