DYCE GORDON, Lilian; ALONSO RODRIGUEZ, Dalyla y DYCE GORDON, Beatriz. Serum Creatinine. Its uso in the prediction of blood drug levels. AMC [online]. 2000, vol.4, n.4, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1025-0255.
Departing from the serum creatinine value, kinetic parameters were estimated in patients with drugs administred. Trough stable intravenous infusion, mainly the clearance. With this datum and with this infusion speed of the drug solution, it was possible to calculate serum levels. This could not be performed in all patients, since they sometimes did not have the order for this complementary test. This was stressed as a mistake, mainly in geriatric patients it is practically fundamental. The most frecuent drugs administred were Theophilline and Carleenicillin, so analysis was carried out regarding them. On the other hand, it was possible to evaluete the dosage regimen through the infusion speed which was incorrect for 80% of patients evaluated.
