Resumen

A descriptive, cross-sectional study was performed for analyzing the behavior of the hemorrhagic cerebrovascular disease in the Intermediate Theraphy Ward of Manuel Ascunce Domenech Prov. Hospital during 1998. The universe was of 114 patients. The register of Diseases of the Statistics Department of this Centre was the primary source of data. Approximatity 8 out of 10 patients had subarachnoid hemorrage, with prevalence of the 35 to 59 age group. Arterial hypertensión and cephalea were the most frequent antcedents. Alive patients prevailed contrasted with those that suffered subarachnoid hemorrage, 8 out of 10 patients with intraparenchymatous hemorrage dieda, and all patients who dad intraparenchymatous hemorrage with communication to the subarachnoid space. In alive patients, the most frequent complications were: cerebral edema and arterial vasospasm while in the deceased were cerebral edema and rebleeding.
