A descriptive, cross - sectional study was performed with the aim of knowing the behavior of hypoferric anemias in the G.B.T # 2 of the East Area Communitary Polyclinic of Camagüey City within the period from April 1998 to 1999. It was basically concluded that more than the fourt part of infants had 4 to 6 months of born representing 15,3 % of the total of infants of the GBT I.R.A. and malnutrition for defect was presented in the fourth part cases as associated disease, being mixed breast feeding the eseential feeding in more than a half of cases, Hemoglobin levels in the total of cases were among 8.5 to 10,9 g/l and the masculine sex was the most affected.
