A descriptive study of a sample of 1 46 asmathic patients younger than 15 years within the period from september 1999 to march 2000 at Armando E. Cardoso general teaching hospital, Guaimaro, Camagüey was carried out, with tha aim of identifying defficiencies which persist in the management of the asmathic patient. For obtaining the results obtained were inadequate education in 64, 4 % of patients and 60, 9 % received adequate pharmacologic treatment. Also, it was found that only 3, 5 % of cases had received phychological support. Concluding current therapecutic strategy in the management of the asthmatic pediatric patients is not fully organized.
