The aim of this work is to describe the early intervention program for preventing neurological disabilities in high risk children, it was developed from 1995 at Ana Betancourt de Mora Gineco Obstetrics Provincial teaching Hospital of Camaguey, Cuba. It is pretending to improve life quality height risk children through early attention with the active participation of family, taking as basis an adequate and convenient neurological diagnosis and psychomotor development. It is carried out form birth to five years old and covers three stages of attention: Neurology Ward, Neurodevelopment and community consultation. This program has a provincial approach and guaranties a 100% specialized care hig risk children in Camagüey province, achieved since early intervention in the Ward till its posterior follow up. It offers support and prepares the family of hig risk children. It also establishes a close collaboration among Public Health Ministery and Education in these children care.
