In most of the cases a late diagnosis is performed, when signs and symptoms, common of complications have already been evidenced. It is very important the knowledge of what to do in our daily task of saving lives. A brief review of the topic retroesophagic abscess and traumatic esophagic perforation is made; the case of a young adult assisted in our centre with such lesions is presented.
