Introduction:

this study was conducted in the graduated education field.

Objective:

to evaluate vector control workers’ qualification after receiving the program “Surveillance and Vector Control in Health Areas".

Methods:

theoretical, empirical and statistical procedures and results triangulation methods were used. Diagnosis final tests were evaluated according to their contents and questions types, in order to characterize and evaluate the difficulty index performance of questions, given the explored themes complexity.

Results:

a comprehensive diagnosis examination of vector control workers classified as difficult, while the final exam classified as easy. There is no relationship among anticipated difficulty degree with those expected and actual items. In both tests, content’s greater difficulties are the actions for pest treatment to houses or any other social facilities. The health area with ​​the greatest difficulty was “Mario Gutierrez Ardaya” policlinic.

Conclusions:

vector control workers qualification results after "Comprehensive Approach, Supervision and Pest Control in Health Areas" program, was rated favorable.
