NODAL ORTEGA, Josefina et al. Blood pressure variability during laparoscopic cholecystectomy in hypertensive patients. Rev cuba anestesiol reanim [online]. 2011, vol.10, n.3, pp. 230-241. ISSN 1726-6718.
Introduction: The vesicular lithiasis requiring surgical treatment is associated with the blood pressure frequency. Nowadays, most of cholecystectomies are carried out by minimal invasive surgery. Objectives: To describe the blood pressure variability and the possible significant complications in hypertensive patients during laparoscopic cholecystectomy, as well as the type of hypertensive patient (treated or no-treated), is more prone to blood pressure fluctuations in the intraoperative time. Method: A longitudinal, descriptive and retrospective study was conducted in the National Center of Minimal Access Surgery from January, 2007 to December, 2007 in patients operated on due to laparoscopic cholescystectomy with a history of high blood pressure. Results: The most variability of the mean blood pressure was noted after pneumoperitoneum and to place patient in inverse Trendelemburg position with values of 91±25 mmHg and 94±23 mmHg, respectively without appearance of complications. From the patients treated the 66.7% and the 47.6% of no-treated, had a drop of more than the 20% of mean blood pressure after anesthesia induction, for remainder, the measurement times for both groups behave of similar way. Conclusions: Despite the variability found in the blood pressure figures, there were not clinical and significant complications during the intraoperative time.
