VASQUEZ DELGADO, María Roxana; SALAZAR BARRANTES, Julio César y ORTEGA CABREJOS, Mónica Ysabel. Managerial pedagogical leadership: management focused on learning improvement. Conrado [online]. 2023, vol.19, n.92, pp. 18-27. Epub 30-Jun-2023. ISSN 1990-8644.
Currently, there is interest in understanding what it means for principals to implement pedagogical leadership in their institutions, due to the need to achieve quality management, since schools that practice it are seen as the best. The objective of this paper is to systematically review literature related to what it means to have pedagogical leadership in school management, its influence on student learning achievement and teachers' pedagogical practice, focusing on what is limiting its implementation. Literature was reviewed using various databases, selecting articles published since 2018. As a result, the importance of this leadership for the improvement of learning and teaching practice and what are its characteristics is recognized; although it is still not clear how to implement the proposed actions. It is concluded that an administrative and a pedagogical leadership complement each other to carry out a management oriented to continuous improvement; however, weaknesses are still observed when implementing these practices, especially in terms of reflecting and giving feedback on teachers' teaching, so there is a lack of training spaces in leadership.
