This paper is about the investigation of the durability of the camshaft and its bearings in the Russian engine VAZ for the original details and for the recovered bearings according to the technology developed by the Ciego de Avila Transport Enterprise. The researching work demonstrated that the recovered bearings using Babbitt metal B83 guarantee smaller wasting-speed and smaller volumetric waste in comparison with the original bearing aluminum base. The recovering cost is lower than the original bearing price.
