Objective:
This article aims at suggesting a family counselling strategy to encourage elementary students independent study
Methods:
The authoress rely on theoretical methods such as analysis, synthesis, and functional structural approach to construct a framework including the guidelines of the proposed strategy and devising phases and actions to be carried out. Empirical techniques such as survey, interview, and the pedagogical experiment allow researchers to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy in the school practice.
Result:
The main finding is the family counselling strategy to encourage elementary students in the context of family relations.
Conclusion:
Family education schools, as a key process of counselling strategy, allows to prepare families to face their children’s independent study activities and to contribute to the acquisition of habits and skills in school children.
