PEREZ FERNANDEZ, Damayse Ramona; FERRER COLINA, Mailer y LIZ LOPEZ, Geysa. IDENTIFICATION OF VARIABLES WITH INCIDENCE IN LABOR ACCIDENTALITY: CASE STUDY: CEMENT MANUFACTURER. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2017, vol.9, n.2, pp. 37-43. ISSN 2218-3620.
When using mathematical models in work accident studies, rigorous improvement actions may be established in the plans for prevention and control of occupational risk factors. The research is applied to a cement production company. The objective is to identify the regression model that fits the best those factors that are related to the occurrence of occupational accidents. Among the techniques and tools used, they are the techniques of occupational safety and health management and those related to descriptive and multivariate statistic. The main result of this research is based on different mathematical models statistical analysis. This allows selecting the negative binomial regression model as the one that results in a smaller error margin. It identifies risks related to safety conditions, to environmental conditions and satisfaction with working conditions as variables with a significant influence on work accident. It corroborates the result obtained with diagnoses made to the preventive job process. The research culminates with a proposal of an action program for improvement of the variables related to this model and indicators that make a viable control.
