Nowadays, the circumstances require from educational leaders a higher socialist economic culture. However, the direction of the process of its formation has not been sufficiently researched; so that, even persist theoretical - methodological lacks that rebound in the professionalism in the performance of these during theirprofessional pedagogical activity of direction. The present work has as objective to elaborate a theoretical - methodological conception of the direction of process of formation of the socialist economic culture of the educational leaders, from the system of work of the Municipal Direction of Education that contributes to elevate the professionalism in the performance in correspondence with the current and perspectives social demands. She keeps in mind their gradual, permanent, systematic and directed character, and the integration of the different ways, actions and scenarios where is developed by the insertion in the system of work of the Municipal Direction of Education. These results are part of the research project "The preparation of the professors for the formation of the economic, tributary and juridical culture that contributes to the implementation of the Cuban economic model in the pedagogical careers", belonging to the National Program "The sustainable economic development in the context of the Upgrade of the Cuban Economic model".
