This paper analyzes the reality of the rural sector in Latin America, and as from this perspective entrepreneurship initiatives emerge, innovative companies not only for their content but also for their structure, their dynamics when taking into account cultural, historical, in their formation. When talking about innovative companies from rurality refers to the issue of public policies, agrarian reform and women's participation as a fundamental element of entrepreneurship, this work performs this analysis and raises the case of Tungurahua in the Ecuadorian sierra as a clear example of entrepreneurship and sustainable development in spite of all the problems of rurality.
