INFANTE ROBLEJO, Ramiro y MARTINEZ SERRA, José E.. Mathematical programming of the movement balance in bovine herd. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.4, pp. 238-251. Epub 02-Sep-2019. ISSN 2218-3620.
This paper is aimed at designing and implementing a procedure for programming the balance in bovine herd movement using quantitative management techniques. The development of the research is based on the application of the economic-mathematical modeling, using the modeling method as a foundation. A mathematical model for linear goal programming is designed and developed with priorities that provide solution to the insufficient integration of technical-productive and economic indicators; which impede the development of an adequate process for planning livestock production. The solution provided with the mathematical model allows restructuring, in a more efficient way, the composition of livestock according to age and sex, so that more meat for the market is produced, and more productive benefits are achieved to increase the total commercial production of meat in comparison to the production obtained through conventional planning methods.
