At present, Higher Education institutions have seen the need to strengthen teaching and learning that guarantees quality training with a view to excellence, which also includes comprehensive training; for this reason, the present research has the purpose of identifying the causes that prevent them from enjoying psychological well-being related to academic performance and harassment. For which we worked with a sample of students from five academic units of the State Technical University of Quevedo. The methodology is of inductive-descriptive and correlational type with the purpose of exploring the perceptions and experiences of the object of study, through a research instrument that allowed in the first instance to consider it as a pilot test to validate the questions. Once the surveys were applied, the information obtained was transcribed and then classified, categorized and coded in an inductive way. The data were processed with the statistical package SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). We arrive at the conclusion that 93.3% of the students have not suffered any type of violence. The affectation caused by family violence, that of a couple, or sexual harassment both at a psychological level, or in academic performance are low grades 32%, little or no concentration in their classes 13%, absence from classes 9% , 4.4% are isolated from their peers; besides the loss of subjects and the desertion of their studies.
