The methods used to determine the evolution of the variables and measure the impacts are: graphs, growth rates, estimation of econometric models and interviews with experts. Therefore, the research approach is quantitative and qualitative. In addition, the socioeconomic analysis of the variables that are related to oil in the period 1980-2012 is carried out. Empirical evidence is used to estimate and validate econometric models for oil exports and their growth. This statistical and econometric analysis aims to establish the evolution of socioeconomic variables and the relationship between them. It is concluded that the social and economic impacts have been more positive than negative, mainly in the period of President Correa.
