Resumen

GUEVARA ESPINOZA, Juan Carlos; PAREDES MENENDEZ, Guadalupe Elizabeth; MALO TOLEDO, Claudio  y  MORALES CAGUANA, Edgar Freddy. The virtualization of the teaching-learning process and the challenge of its anomies at the university of Guayaquil. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.5, pp. 288-294.  Epub 30-Oct-2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The virtualization of higher education processes is one of the fundamental pillars of educational quality today, as it responds to students’ needs in their personal, work and social spheres. In this sense, the University of Guayaquil has taken the lead by providing technological equipment (laptops) to the teachers of the different faculties according to a publication of the Facebook page of Guayaquil University on December 10, 2021, which constitutes a benchmark in the educational field in times of Pandemic. This will demonstrate that there are great advances in the virtual teaching model through the use of ICTs. At the same time, a battle is underway against outdated views and divergent positions that affect its implementation, so that the methodology applied in the use of technologies is becoming more contextual. The way in which this research activity is assumed and carried out for the university is only one of the central issues, so a valuation opinion study was conducted through an online survey in reference to virtual processes, with the aim of identifying the pros and cons of the subject from the experiences of students and teachers. The study also made it possible to identify where the main managers of the process are heading and how this improvement should be projected to promote innovative initiatives.
