The Doctor in Pedagogy Miriam Matos Quintero constitutes one of the most important figures of the Baracoa locality in the specialty of Spanish - Literature with repercussion in the education of the First Villa of Cuba. The objective is to reveal the contributions of his life and educational work, for which his contributions to the didactics of this specialty are considered valuable. It is a descriptive-explanatory research of a historical pedagogical nature where theoretical and empirical methods were used, in the latter, the review of documents was worked, among them: including personal funds, files, testimonies, which allowed shaping his life story dedicated to teaching for more than 50 years, with a work of infinite love dedicated to the formation of present and future generations of children, adolescents and young people. Hence, the life story of Miriam Matos Quintero becomes an imperative way to recognize the educational work of those who have contributed from their pedagogical and scientific work to the improvement of the educational process at the different levels of education, for which it is unavoidable the use of its educational or didactic potentialities to favor improvements in the different linguistic processes.
