Introduction:

Ammonium Glufosinate is a great effective herbicide, used in 82 countries to control weeds in more than 100 crops. In Cuba, amounts of 2.3 MUSD p.a are currently being planned for this pesticide importation. As a result, the introduction of products like this in national production is a premise for the country.

Objective:

To develop 15% Ammonium Glufosinate formulations as soluble concentrate (SL).

Materials and Methods:

The formulation was obtained by Ammonium Glufosinate dilution in water using surfactants. formulated behavior over time was evaluated by stability studies up 12 months, by accelerated and prolonged storage methods respectively, in which pH, density, humidity and content of active ingredient determination was carried out. Biological effectiveness was determined with product application in the post-emergence stage of weeds in rice cultivation.

Results and Discussion:

During the evaluation, under severe conditions of temperature and humidity, as well in aging, chemical physical parameters results were obtained within allowable ranges, indicating that no physical changes or chemical degradation occurred. The biological test showed that it controls monocotyledonous weeds better, without revealing phytotoxicity in the crop.

Conclusions:

The study shows that the formulated is stable over time. The biological test determined that it controls weeds in rice cultivation. The product received the use permit for its production and commercialization.
