XAVIA PACS is a platform designed to offer medical personnel a range of general-purpose tools for viewing and processing medical images and subsequent editing of the issued reports. The system is made up of five main components, of which XAVIA PACS Viewer and XAVIA PACS Web are responsible for viewing DICOM images. The first is for computers with the Windows operating system and the other one is a web application that cannot be used without a connection to the hospital institution's network. In this way, access to the visualization and manipulation of medical images is limited despite the evolution of the platform to more innovative sources such as the cloud. The present work proposes as a solution the implementation of PACSDroid, a component to control the visualization and transfer of DICOM images from the cloud for mobile devices with the Android operating system. To comply with the proposal, the analysis of business processes was carried out and existing systems with similar objectives were evaluated, as well as technological trends for their implementation. The development of this application will be of great help in the process of analysis and diagnosis of DICOM imaging studies for specialists, and in the same way it will benefit patients.
