The Preparation for the Defense discipline is structured as a complex frame of educational, investigative and beyond the classroom activities to achieve the comprehensive education of university students. To accomplish this purpose, academic, educational, scientific, methodological, organizational and administrative aspects are combined through the methodological work to encourage the professionalization of the pedagogical process. The influence of this discipline on the professional profile of engineers and architects hasbeen analyzed in the scientific and methodological activities at the department. This paper is aimed at identifying the aspects of The Preparation for the Defense teaching -learning process that contribute to the comprehensive education of engineers and architects at CUJAE based on teachers’ pedagogical experience. As a result, the dialectical relation among the objectives of the discipline, the modes and spheres of action of the engineers and architects are shown.
