The new Cuban cultivar ‘Samila’ was obtained after crossing ‘Desirée’ variety with the Cuban high-yielding cultivar ’Lizette‘. The purpose of this study was to achieve a new potato variety with high and stable yields, tolerant to the main crop diseases in Cuba, tuber quality and good cold storage preservation.
