Resumen

FERNANDEZ SUAREZ, Kalyanne. In Vitro culture systems applied to AMF studies. cultrop [online]. 2012, vol.33, n.2, pp. 33-43. ISSN 0258-5936.

The advances in the study of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) and the process involved in their interactions with plants depend in great extent of in vitro culture systems which include both organisms, due mainly to their biotrophic condition and hypogeous nature. Those systems have evolved trough the years and at the present time a lot of questions related with the physiology and biochemistry of association had been resolved. Some aspects about the importance of in vitro culture systems applied to AMF studies, the type of current systems and their advantages and limitations, besides some factors which influence the in vitro mycorrhizal establishment are considered in this review.

Palabras clave : in vitro culture; fungi.
