This article is diagnosed the situation presented document management systems to develop knowledge management CITMA System Entities in the Province of Pinar del Rio, starting from the main theoretical assumptions that are currently handled document management environment and knowledge management as well as the identification of international models worked, states that there is a direct relationship, considering knowledge management as the systematic and inclusive process of creation, capture, organization, access and sharing of information, including processes to incorporate and maintain documents as proof information and activities and actions of the organization. It identifies the limitations and potential by combining the force field analysis and the technique of Focus Groups.
