The level of mental burden of professors of the Public Administration career of the Higher Polytechnic School of Manabí is diagnosed. The research was guided by the methodology of Carvalho that uses the fusion of the physiological level with tests such as: blood pressure, level of oxygen in the blood, heart rate and cholesterol level. It was obtained with instruments such as: sphygmomanometer, oximeter and cholesterol test; the psychophysiological level with the measurement of simple reaction time and complex reaction time through computer games; and the psychological level was obtained with the subjective feeling of fatigue through a survey. The application of such tests allowed demonstrating that full-time professors of the Public Administration career have a high level of mental burden. Among the repercussions that it entails are: feeling of frustration, physical and mental fatigue, irritability, impair in interpersonal relationships, headaches and migraine, low level of attention in the last hours of classes.
