This research presents a conceptual model of organizational commitment adapted to the Cuban context. This model contributing to improvement conceptual model and incidence in the turnover intention with socio-psychological variables. In its creation empirical and theoretical methods were used, among them scales, correlation analysis, interviews and direct observation are found, all of them interrelated, facilitating the triangulation results. The version of the instrument that contains the three dimensions (affective, continuous and normative) of the organizational commitment, proposed by Meyer, Allen and Smith in 1993, was validated and applied. The conceptual model is based on the demonstration of the variables included in the pillars of this construct, as well as the approaches: prospective, strategic and systemic, where the components and relationships between their parts are explained.
