This work presents a critical reflection on the strategies carried out within the current structure that underpins the project design teaching approach, at the architecture faculty of the University of Guayaquil, as well as a description of new settings that make possible to improve the teaching-learning process. For this purpose, from bibliographical explorations were set up as similar studies, doctoral theses and teaching experiences, an integral and reflective view of the teaching of design in architecture in the search of an integrality that incorporates diverse settings in the act of both the teacher and the student with the purpose of strengthening the teaching-learning process and improving the quality of education.
